Perceive is redefining what’s possible in edge devices.

In 2018, the Perceive team took on the ambitious goal of enabling state‑of‑the‑art inference inside edge devices running at extremely low power. Adopting an entirely new perspective on machine learning and neural networks, we built the Perceive platform – the Ergo® AI processor and a full suite of development tools for integration into a variety of power‑constrained edge devices.

Today, we address numerous markets, including advanced wearables, laptops, and cameras for security, action capture, video analytics, and conferencing systems. Device manufacturers select Ergo for its ability to deliver the performance and capability to run datacenter‑class neural networks inside devices on tight power budgets.

Perceive was incubated by and is a majority‑owned subsidiary of Xperi Corporation.

Steve Teig, Founder and Co-CEO

Steve Teig, founder and Co-CEO of Perceive, is a visionary technologist whose work has impacted industries ranging from software and semiconductors to biotechnology and machine learning. He drove the creation of Perceive while CTO of its parent company and investor, Xperi, where he supervised technology development, including core audio and imaging innovations, and led the company’s machine learning team.
